Jimmy Ray Flynt was born on June 20, 1948, on Lake Road, Salyersville, and Magoffin County, Kentucky. His parents were Larry Clanton Flynt Sr., born on August 16, 1919, and worked as a World War II Veteran and a Sharecropper. He later died on July 1, 2005.
