Early Life

Deion Sanders was born on 9th august 1967 in Fort Myers, Florida, US. His parents were Connie Knight and Mims Sanders, and he was raised together with his sister Tracy Knight. Deion Sanders was a sports fanatic from a tender age and started pursuing his athletic passion after joining North Fort Myers High School. He was later invited to the All-State baseball, football, and basketball teams. In 1985, he was among the top 33 selected players in the All-Century Team of Florida High School Association. When Deion joined Florida State University, he became a football and baseball player for the Florida State Seminoles. He was set to begin his baseball career with the Kansas City Royals and was chosen by the Royals during the Major League Baseball draft in 1985. But Deion decided not to sign the deal.

Baseball Career: Deion Sander was a professional baseball player for nine years. He signed a deal with the Yankees in July 1988 but instead left for the NFL training camp. On 31st May 1989, Deion made his main league baseball debut, and after three days of signing the $4.4 million contract, he scored his first touchdown, being the first athlete to hit a home run and score a touchdown on the same week in history.

Deion Sanders played for other clubs for years, including New York Yankees, before getting dismissed after one season and succeeding with the Atlanta Braves before joining Cincinnati Reds and San Francisco Giants in 1997.
